The Woodcraft Folk (Woodies) is not as well known as the Scouting movement, but we've been around nearly as long. We believe in friendship, peace, the environment and a fairer world.
There are over one hundred of us in the Oxford Woodies District and you might see us from time to time in our distinctive Folk Shirts supporting some community activity, whether it be the Oxford Green Fair or on the Levellers' Day March.

In Woodcraft you can always spot us because we wear dark green. The most usual thing we wear is the Folk shirt.This is usually worn on camp or at other gatherings. It is decorated with badges which have been earned for attaining new skills or accomplishing certain activities or which have been collected as mementos during our many trips away.
